When you think of Colorado, you probably think of snow-capped mountains or snow skiing. You probably don't think of sand dunes. Let me introduce you to the National Sand Dunes Park in Alamosa, CO.
If you are visiting in the summer, I would recommend arriving early in the morning as it gets hot very fast. The entrance fees are $3 per adult. They also have a junior ranger program, where your children can learn a lot of new facts and earn a badge when they complete the required activities.

I hope you are able to stop and visit this lovely place. There is a great waterfall exhibit/stop within minutes from the dunes, which I will share tomorrow. Make sure you go to the falls!
